Cold Winter
It was a cold wet foggy winter morning
I remember that path we took through the mist
T'was a long walk
Somewhere in the middle of nowhere
Received instructions to split up into two groups.
Wicked jokes from Sholay about aadhe idhar jao and aadhe udhar were muttered to each other.
Nikon FM switched on and shutter pressed when no one was looking.
Before taking up positions on a flat patch of wet grass.
Winter mornings will be back soon in some months. The Nikon FM though appears out of place now.
Like a relic from another era.
