Landscapes
Then you get back home and realise that the photo isn't all that great...so you go back and try again :)
I've shot most of these photographs with Ultra wide angle lenses like the Sigma 10-20 & Canon 10-18 on Dx cameras and Sigma 15-30, Nikon 18mm & Nikon 20mm on Fx. For a few photos I've used slightly longer lenses like the 28mm, 50mm and 90mm.
Most of the photos have been shot using GNDs, ND and CPL filters.
“Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer – and often the supreme disappointment.” – Ansel Adams.
August Reflections
This was shot on a road trip in August somewhere in the middle of nowhere in rural Maharashtra. I used the Lensbaby on the D700 - that gave me the red hut sharp and the rest of the scene blurred. The reflection was an added bonus. I usually try and avoid compositions where the horizon is in the centre of the frame - this was one exception where I wanted to break the rule.
I don't think people who live in places like this realise how lucky they are....perhaps there's some truth in the saying "grass is always greener on the other side"
