Landscapes
Then you get back home and realise that the photo isn't all that great...so you go back and try again :)
I've shot most of these photographs with Ultra wide angle lenses like the Sigma 10-20 & Canon 10-18 on Dx cameras and Sigma 15-30, Nikon 18mm & Nikon 20mm on Fx. For a few photos I've used slightly longer lenses like the 28mm, 50mm and 90mm.
Most of the photos have been shot using GNDs, ND and CPL filters.
“Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer – and often the supreme disappointment.” – Ansel Adams.
Into The Forest
I shot this during a walk in the forests of Panchgani with the 50mm and D700 for company. This forest path to me looked like a scene from a Hollywood movie. I liked the way the path ran across the frame with dense shrubs and trees on both sides. It almost felt like there was something waiting just around the corner....
Remembered some words I'd read from Lyndon B. Johnson - "If future generations are to remember us with gratitude rather than contempt, we must leave them something more than the miracles of technology.
We must leave them a glimpse of the world as it was in the beginning, not just after we got through with it."
