Landscapes
Then you get back home and realise that the photo isn't all that great...so you go back and try again :)
I've shot most of these photographs with Ultra wide angle lenses like the Sigma 10-20 & Canon 10-18 on Dx cameras and Sigma 15-30, Nikon 18mm & Nikon 20mm on Fx. For a few photos I've used slightly longer lenses like the 28mm, 50mm and 90mm.
Most of the photos have been shot using GNDs, ND and CPL filters.
“Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer – and often the supreme disappointment.” – Ansel Adams.
Red October
Shot after a nice long walk from the top of the hill....I had my doubts of getting a sharp pic since it was so windy that day. A few initial attempts failed - I was lucky when the wind stopped blowing all of sudden for a few seconds and I happily pressed the shutter.
I also bumped into my landlord Mayur Vohra of Mapro while shooting this photograph ....he was curious about the GND filters attached in front of the camera and walked up to me to see what I was upto. It was nice interacting with him...he also took a photograph with my camera which is identical to the one on this page.
I visited this spot a few times after that for photos - but didn't get the same weather or colours.....somethings in life just happen once :)
