Landscapes
Then you get back home and realise that the photo isn't all that great...so you go back and try again :)
I've shot most of these photographs with Ultra wide angle lenses like the Sigma 10-20 & Canon 10-18 on Dx cameras and Sigma 15-30, Nikon 18mm & Nikon 20mm on Fx. For a few photos I've used slightly longer lenses like the 28mm, 50mm and 90mm.
Most of the photos have been shot using GNDs, ND and CPL filters.
“Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer – and often the supreme disappointment.” – Ansel Adams.
Panchgani Unplugged
Nikon D700 + 18mm
Sunrise from the top of a hill.
Many many years ago.
Feels like yesterday.
The cold wind hitting my face while I'm standing there wondering when the bloody sun would bring some warmth.
RKT didn't get up in time.
Had to sneak out in his car.
Just for the record - It was Brendon's idea.
Wasn't sure if he would be happy with me taking his beloved Honda especially when I had no clue how to drive a fancy car with gears on the steering wheel.
I did know how to turn on the headlights and point the fancy car in the right direction. (thankfully)
Got to the location when it was still nice and dark.
Before the sun starting its magic in the sky.
No other place feels like Panchgani.
You'd have to live there to know what I mean.
I loved it when it was a quaint old sleepy Hill Station.
To me Panchgani will always remain that way. A quaint sleepy old hill station.
Some things never change.
Even if they do in reality.
One of the reasons why I don't go there anymore.
I want my childhood memories to remain intact.
Without noisy tourists creating a nuisance.
